Secure Aviation Supply Chain

The objective of a secure supply chain is to ensure the safe and smooth flow of goods and services, at each stage of the supply chain, in which the transport link plays a significant role.

Security in the aviation supply chain is determined by a number of factors, the main ones being the authority of the transport companies operating the airports, the competence of the drivers to transport air cargo safely, the relationship with airlines, customs agencies, as well as the communication and operating process between the links in the aviation supply chain.

An important role in a secure air supply chain is played by known shippers, who are responsible for the origin of the goods, and the registered agent, who is responsible for screening and checking the goods and then handing them over to the airline.

JIT Logistik's role in a Secure Aviation Supply Chain

We have the ability to issue an SPX declaration proving the possibility of performing road transport within a secure air supply chain.

Roller Bed Trailers with MRS (Modular Rollerbed System)

(Modular Rollerbed System)

As part of the secure aviation supply chain, JIT Logistik has MRS system trailers dedicated to the transport of air freight, standard pallets, and ULD air containers, for which the MRS system enables the safe and efficient loading / handling / unloading of goods.

Additional functionality and safety

Side sliding system
and lifting roof

Additional features of our Roller Bed Trailers include a lifting roof 0.5 m above the trailer's dimensions for loading and unloading.

In addition, our Roller Bed Trailers are equipped with a 3.5 m wide side opening system for loading and unloading, which makes it possible to transport oversized goods up to 3.1 m wide and 8 m long.

This functionality is designed and used, among other things, for the transport of aircraft engines as well as other oversized items that fit into these dimensions.

SBS security locks

To ensure the highest level of security, the trailers are locked with SBS locks, certified by KIWA SCM, and there is also Anti-Theft reinforcement protection under the tarpaulins made of steel cable, providing comprehensive security for the goods being transported. The vehicles are fully certified to EN 12642 Code XL, attesting to the strength of the body structure.

Qualified drivers

In the road transport sector, our drivers have undergone a specialised set of training courses authorising them to handle airports and air cargo in accordance with para. 11.2.3.9 of Reg. 2015/1998 on international, EU and national regulations related to civil aviation security, as well as on the principles of the civil aviation security system, which include the actions of third parties.

Safety first

Drivers hold certificates approved by the Civil Aviation Authority to enhance security, and the cargo they carry for air transport, and are authorised to carry export cargo to airports for intermodal transport.
